Dermal Filler

Dermal fillers are made from a substance which is naturally found in the body known as Hyaluronic acid. It is used to add volume, enhance shape but also can hydrate the skin and increase collagen production. They also can treat deep lines and wrinkles. There are many areas of the face which can be naturally enhanced using filler.

RESULTS ARE INSTANT, AND DURATION WILL VARY DEPENDENT ON FILLER THICKNESS AND AREA TREATED.

Hyaluronic acid is naturally degraded over time by enzymes present in our body. This enzyme known as Hylase can be administered by medical professionals for corrective treatments.

Where can you have dermal fillers?

Dernal fillers help provide volume and lift to a specific area of the face. They help smooth out wrinkles and lines as a consequence of ageing giving a more youthful appearance to the face whilst still looking natural.

  • Do dermal filler injections hurt?
Before injecting, a local anaesthetic cream is applied for 10 minutes prior to the procedure which numbs the area to ensure the patient is as comfortable as possible.
  • How long is the procedure?
We advise the appointment to be one hour as this will allow Riya time to assess the client, carry out the treatment and provide after-care advice.
  • Are there any side effects to dermal fillers?
Some patients may have mild swelling/soreness after receiving the facial filler treatment, but this is temporary and usually subsides shortly afterwards.
  • Is the treatment reversible?
Yes, our dermal filler treatment is fully reversible with Hyalase, which dissolves filler quickly and effectively.
